This game has a very complex and strategical attacking set-up, so it is important that one will do so wisely.
there are 2 ways to attack. one is the basic, take down the base by yourself, and there is the ninja tactic. the ninja tactic is smart because it does not require any use of overdrive, it requires less goo to do, it is faster, and you will get just as much loot as the basic attack strategy
for people who dont understand, the basic attack strategy is the taking down of the towers in 2 waves, then creating a "loot wave" to take down the rest of the base
the ninja is the strategy where you use someone using the basic attack strategy and after their 2nd wave of tower taking is down, and most/all of the towers are down, you will jump in and "ninja" them. you will get their loot, and you will have the satisfaction of knowing that because of you, someone wasted their time.
mathematics of: ninjaing is a strategy that cannot be defeated currently, because someone using the basic strategy cannot defeat it, only slow you down. in short, the person using the basic attack method must use a defeatable strategy. the faster they return to the base to take it down, the better. the ninja is there to upset and overthrow the basic strategy, in that we must be faster than the basic. we must get to the attacked base before they do.
the game is currently set up so a person can destroy a base in 2-3 attacks. for the ninja, that means 1-2 attacks before we jump in, because the ninja is the take down wave. that depends on how the first attack goes.
strategy of [/B]if the first attack results in 2/3 or more of the towers being taken down, then you must use a strategy of taking down the remaining towers. thats where the catapult comes in. if you use the twigs, make sure that you can cause minimal damage to nearby resource makers. for the pebble catapult, it is necessary that you do not nuke the base with over 2 million, because you want the resource makers intact for takedown, as most resources come from the take down effect. take down the remaining towers with crabs and project Xs filled with putty, as they will be stronger and more equiped to deal with it. make sure you have minimal crabs, and more project Xs, because crabs do minimal damage on buildings. if there are mostly snipes, towards the edge, you can send in other "anything" monsters like DAVES and pokeys to kill them too, as they will still be intact afterwards. remember to send the crabs first, tho!
if there are no towers left, and the basic attacker is preparing his loot wave, you do not need to worry about anything other than the only weapon left: booby traps. to avoid this, with your prepared crabatrons, send them in at wall patterns where it seems like there could be booby traps. when sending in the wave, remember also, that the knocked down towers are more likely to have booby traps near them. try to avoid them the best you can. remember to scatter your wave, so if a booby trap does go off, it will only kill 1-2 monsters. your monsters otherwise will mob, which is bad as far as booby traps, as it will damage them all.
history of: this forum and most of its strong users in the past have hated the ninja. but recently, polls set up, more than 1, came to the result of that less than half of the people on this forum thing the ninja is a problem. another poll showed that people who were above lvl 38 were ninjad the most frequent, and thought it was a problem. a recent poll suggesting a period of time between attacks where no one else can attack came to the result of most people suggesting no.
Dave's view the producer has stated that the idea of the ninja is "cool", and it portrays real life. so the smart attacker, the ninja, makes this game more like real life. the ninja also makes the game cooler. if you follow this guide, players, you will make this game more like real life, and make it cooler.
